The Stihl MS 362 is one of the newest professional chain saws on the market today, it is in the old MS 360 (036) class. It also boast the "Stihl Caring for Nature" seal regarding engine emissions and fuel consumption. "Should you go for the MS 362 or the Stihl MS 361?"
This question, or any variation that could comfortably be inferred from it is a constant point of debate on the internet among novice and professional chainsaw operators alike because there are a number of benefits and drawbacks associated with both of these particular models. The simple answer is that there is no right answer, in that neither of these two models can comfortably claim to be more dominant or reliable than the other. Instead, it must fall to the chainsaw operator who is trying to make a decision between these models to actually weigh the benefits and flaws, and make a judgement call by themselves.
Critics and loyal fans both agree: the MS 362 has a vastly more efficient anti-vibration system than its counterpart and is also more frugal with its power consumption. In addition, the MS 362 also has the benefit of a superior filtering system which will go a considerable way to controlling and neutralising the problematic odours and gases that and are emitted when using a gasoline chainsaw.
The drawbacks are that the MS 362 model is much more costly and also a lot heavier not to mention more bulky in dimensions that the 361.
However, the 361 will eventually only be available on the second-hand market as Stihl has officially replaced it with the MS 362. I wonder how long until the MS 362 is replaced by the MS 363?You can purchase this chainsaw from an authorized dealer here
